Amr Ghaly | Chief Design Officer, NGDS

Amr joined NGDS since 2007 in a Chief Design Officer position responsible for the architectural and interior designs of NEWGIZA one of the biggest residential compounds in Egypt. Amr's experience spans 24 years in architecture and interior design, project coordination and field representation for a variety of building types specialty in residential buildings & hotel design including landmark hotels & luxurious compounds.

Amr started his career with The Arab Contractors (1991-1993) in the renovation of historical mosques in old Cairo districts which enhanced an appreciation of old Egyptian architecture and respect of their proportions and elements of design. He later joined joined IMHOTEB (till 1995), Cabinet D’architecture in Paris in small projects varying from residential and leisure, gaining exposure of different designers and locations. On his return to Cairo, he joined HARRANEYA FOR ARCHITECTURE AND FURNITURE focusing on residential projects and leisure hotels in Sinai and Jordan till 1997. From 1997-2007, prior to joining NGDS, he worked as project architect with DEGLA FOR ENGINEERING CONSULTANCIES in a number of leisure hotels and resorts in Red Sea and residential compounds in Cairo while being an associate architect in MADAR home signature.

Amr is also a member in the Egyptian Association of Architects, Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers and CCFE (Chambre de Commerce Francaise en Egypte).
